It’s Time For A Revolution!

by admin on April 22, 2013

speakingHow many of you remember learning about the Boston Tea Party in school?  Let me refresh your memory. The Boston Tea Party was a direct action by colonists in Boston, a town in the British colony of Massachusetts, against the British government. On December 16, 1773, after officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, a group of colonists boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor.  Why did they do this and what does this have to do with you?  These colonists were taking a stand because they believed their rights had been violated and they wanted to do something about it.  As a result this was one of the many catalysts that provoked the American Revolution which eventually led to independence.

Okay, so now what does this have to do with you?  What are you tired of? Do you feel liberated and free from the inside out?  What is going to cause a revolution in your life?  You may complain day in and day out about not having the life you want. You settle for the status quo.  Greatness is all around you and in you, but you can’t seem to tap into it.  So, I ask you again, what is it going to take? IT IS TIME FOR A REVOLUTION IN YOUR LIFE!  So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.  Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, developing well-formed maturity in you. (Romans 12:1-2)

So what this is saying in a nutshell is that you have the power within to change your circumstances.  Stop whining, complaining, pointing the finger and being complacent and start taking action because only you can change you.  The revolution starts with in you!  So where do you start?  You start by revolutionizing your mind.  Acting differently won’t make you think differently.  Thinking differently will cause you to act differently. Stop saying I am going to try, just do it.   When you use the word try it gives you a way out.  NO MORE TRYING.  It is time for a REVOLUTION. No matter what you do, it will not succeed until you revolutionize your mind.  What will it take for your own Boston Tea Party?

 I’m just sayin’

Love you to life!

Sandra
