Fear and Love: Can They Co-Exist?

Is it possible for love and fear to co-exist within you? The bible tells us that “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.”   So in reading this, the answer would be no – they cannot co-exist with in you.  But before coming to any conclusion on this let’s explore some key words.  Fear is the foundation of why you hold on to past hurts; can’t seem to move forward; are in unhealthy relationships; in jobs we don’t like; have low self esteem; etc. I think you get the picture.  You fear losing control; facing you; facing the pain; reliving the situation again.  The opposite of fear is love.  Love is an action word – showing affection, enthusiasm, devotion; unselfish loyalty and concern for self and others. In addition, love also means keeping a score of zero. WHEW!!  Okay, you can exhale on that last one. I know that one was hard to swallow.  WHY? — So many of you are keeping score. I can hear you saying, “That’s not me.” Oh, but it is.  Read on!

None of us are perfect.  So how can perfect love cast out fear?  The word perfect means wholeness, completeness, repaired, finished, terminate, mature or to render.  If the word love also means keeping a score of zero – it means you have rendered that situation (not the person) finished, complete, and repaired.  There are things that you have hidden in your heart from childhood to adulthood.  It is time to render them terminated so that you can become whole; and walk in pure love. As long as they are hidden in your heart, you are keeping records. Remember, fear is the foundation of why you are holding on to those things (?). Some things are buried so deep that you have just plain forgotten all about them.  However, they are still manifesting in other ways; 1) afraid to move forward; 2)loneliness; 3)unhealthy relationships; 4)people pleasing; 5)weight issues; 6)lack of confidence, etc.

Is it possible for love and fear to co-exist within you? The answer is no. Whatever you are carrying in your heart (fear or love) will manifest itself in your daily life. If you want to know which of the two you are carry, take a good, honest look at your life (everyone and thing in it) as it exist right now.  Where you are today, is the sum total of what you have been carrying in your heart. Are you carrying fear or love?  Perfect love does cast out fear.  Once you render the fear terminated, you will be able to release those things that have been hidden; become whole and complete.

I’m just sayin’

Love you to life!
